Good morning,
How is everyone doing? It's been nice hearing from some of you and seeing some of the things that are going on at home. I also want to thank you for emailing and sending over resources to share with me. I've included some of those resources in two choice boards that I created. As the work packet I sent home on 3/13 is dwindling down, please use the two choice boards as home assignments. One board is a non-digital choice board and the other is a digital choice board. Please select 2-3 different activities total a day to complete from either choice boards. You can repeat some of the same activities on different days. I wanted to create flexible assignments for you to be able to work with your child at a pace that best fits your family's needs. Please let me know if you have any questions. You can access the choice boards here: https://tinyurl.com/Room15Packet and I will also upload them on our Class Story. I will also start uploading more assignments periodically in those folders.
Another thing I wanted to mention is that I know that some teachers have been using Zoom and other video message tools to connect with students. As of right now, there has been no directives from FUSD to use these tools uniformly between grade levels. I am waiting for guided instructions, but at the same time, I am anxious to check-in with students. This week, I do want to set up a few times to check in with students, but I want to establish some safety protocols if you would like your child to join the zoom chat:
-Have a parent/guardian in the same room to help with technical issues
-Do NOT take screenshots or record Zoom Chat sessions and share images for privacy concerns
I understand if you choose not to attend a Zoom Session and this is not required at all. It is an option to have students connect with me and each other to hopefully put a smile on their face to be able to see one another.
I will be in touch!
Thank you.
