Welcome back families. I hope April is going well for everyone and that you're all doing your best to keep your heads up. I'm sure many of you envisioned spring break to look much differently than how you spent it this past week, but regardless, hopefully you were able to squeeze in some time to enjoy it with loved ones, virtually and all.
As we transition back from spring break, I am trying to make assignments and check-ins more consistent by providing families with a schedule for distant learning. Please click here to view the schedule or see the document below. Weekly assignments that I have on the schedule will be posted on Google Classroom. I've created a video for you to view with your child to explain what the assignment entails. Please make sure to click on the video link to watch it since many questions you might have would be answered by watching the video.
On Wednesday, 4/22, I plan to go to the classroom and set aside your child's workbooks for you to pick up if you choose to do so. The workbooks would be their math, writing journal, science/social studies journal, and shared reading books from our Benchmark curriculum. Please note that this is not mandatory and all assignments are accessible online. I will leave all workbooks outside in the hallway, labeled with your child's name for you to pick up. Please send me a message on Class Dojo if you plan to come so I can have it ready for you.
Pick up between 11:00am-12:00pm.
If you pick up your child's workbooks, I will list the corresponding math pages on the math assignment in Google Slide. This way, if you choose to do so, your child can complete the math in their math workbook instead. You can also click on the link embedded in the slide to access the PDF version of the math pages. See the image below for reference.
