We all know how important reading is, especially in our students' early years of learning. To continue to build our love of reading, our class will participate in Read Across America Day on Wednesday, March 2nd. Click here to read about what your child could bring to school that day to make it a comfortable day of reading.
I also recently sent out the link to all the famous person speeches on Class Dojo. Click here to download the videos if you haven't done so already. Our class did an amazing job and I am so proud of all the hard work they put into their research and speech. Thank you, parents, for all of your help with this project, too.
Lastly, March is National Women's History Month. To honor all the wonderful women past and present, it would be great to have our wonderful moms of Room 24 do an interactive activity to teach us about an influential woman that perhaps our moms are inspired by. Click here for all the information and available time/days for you to come in and do a presentation or read a book about a famous woman in history. March is already next week, so please sign up as soon as you can so I can allot that time for you to come in. You are by no means expected to participate. I just think our students will have a more enjoyable time and it would be more meaningful to have our moms come in to do this.
If you get a chance, please visit our classroom wish list. We are in need of baby wipes/lysol wipes and hand sanitizer (big bottles would be great!).
