- This week, each student will have a list of passwords inside their homework folder to access many website programs we will use in class and at home. It is very important that your child brings his/her homework folder to school each day with their completed homework assignment so that they will have access to their passwords in class. Each website program will be slowly introduced to students as they continue to get more comfortable using chromebooks. So far, they have been introduced to Dreambox and Raz Kids. I will send a letter home with information regarding both programs. The programs can be accessed under Student Center by clicking on the tiles on the symbaloo or on the categories underneath the symbaloo.
- If you have clicked on the homework tab, you will notice that there is a homework agenda for you to view. Your child is expected to complete the pink paper agenda sheet with their homework assignments daily in class. Doing so would hopefully help build a sense of independent learning and responsibility. Underneath the homework tab, the September Challenge Homework is also posted. This is a monthly optional homework challenge and all assignments that your child chooses to complete will be due at the end of the month.
- This past week, students completed the SRI and AR Star Test. These two assessments will be implemented each trimester to get a better understanding of each child's reading level. I am very proud of the students for welcoming a new challenge of taking a test on the chromebooks and persevering!
- Lastly, it would be great if you took the time to explore the Scholastic Reading Club to place any book orders your child may show interest in. By entering our class code (NG8MP), it helps us earn classroom points to build a better library for Room 24!
