Since our field trip this Friday to the Palo Alto Children's Theatre falls on the same day as spring pictures, wearing our Noddin class shirt is optional. Students will take their spring pictures before we go on the field trip.
Our famous person speeches will be taking place next Friday, February 17th. If your child is dressing up that day, please make sure they have a change of clothing (if needed) and make sure they do not wear green. I ask that you do not have your child wear makeup; they may of course bring props, artifacts, and wear costumes. The class has been buzzing with facts about our important people in history. I hope you could make it to watch our students as they give their speeches. At the end of the 9:00am presentations, parents are invited to stay to participate in a Kahoot, a game-based quiz, with questions that the students created about their famous person. It should be entertaining!
If your child plans on bringing in Valentine's Day cards to pass out to their friends, please make sure they bring one in for everyone. The class list was sent home in the Thursday envelope, but you can also find it below or by clicking here. We will not be having a Valentine's Day party, but students will have time in class to pass out their cards.
Lastly, we only have one more week left until President's Week Break! I think our students have been in need of a break because their energy level has certainly been high since Global Play Day. If you would like to view/download some pictures I took during Global Play Day, make sure to visit our Shutterfly Class page.
